Q & A: What would be a reasonable price for this furnace repair?

Question by chelcie85: What would be a reasonable price for this furnace repair?
furnace was out and had someone come in to repair it. please note that this is my first time dealing with this kind of repair and i was wondering if the price i paid was fair. anyway.
Replaced:
Thermostat (a digital 5 day and weekend one)
The circuit board on a trane xr80 furnace
and the open limit switch

Thats a lot of repairs ?…………but to answer your question – for everything.

The limit switch is fairly cheap, less than $ 50
The circuit board I’m somehwat guessing on but somewhere under $ 200
And the thermostat I’m not sure how fancy of one you’re getting but anwhere between $ 75-150

And plus labor which is typically around $ 80 an hour, your repairs and diagnostic should be within a few hours, not sure if the company adds a trip charge.

    thermostat 100 installed, board 400-450 installed limit switch 60 65 dollars. thats a quote for houston tx. and sorroundings
