Question by abovethebest: Can i sound-proof my double wide housing with insulation in the walls?
Is there a way i can sound proof, I am thinking by buying and installing sound proof insulation in the walls. I am also thinking that may not be practical because of limited space in the wall.

A cost effective way to soundproof walls is to attach egg boxes all over the walls and then a layer of plasterboard.

the best way forward here is to fix 50mm x 25mm battens to the wall 600mm apart put fibre glass between and then fix plaster boards to battens then plaster skim ok you loose 35mm space but it will work
I covered the walls of my garage with a loose pile carpet that was given to me by a carpet installer. It was left over from a job he did and it didn’t cost me a dime. Carpet works great.
No. Windows, doors, floors, cupboards, etc. all allow sound the travel through.
