Question by trent v: Any tips for underfloor sound insulation?
I’m on the first floor, and I intend to sand and varnish the floorboards, but I need to minimize the airborne sound for my neighbor below and myself. Is stuffing mineral wool between the joists the best option?

Your consideration for your neighbor should be applauded.
There is little you can do however, as the vibration from the work
will be transmitted through the structure, and you can’t isolate that.
Try to set up a schedule with your neighbor so that he’s bothered least.
YOU SHOULD PUT BLOWN CELLULOSE IN FLOOR THER IS NOTHING BETTER FOR STOPING SOUND AND ITS EASY TO DO. I OWN A INSULATION COMP BEST OF LUCK
