/> The only thing that runs on propane in our home is our hot water tank. It is average size, I think 50 gallon. Our house was built in 1997, so I am guessing it is original to the home. Anyhow, our propane bill has been between $ 125 and $ 175 a month. That just seems very high. What should I expect to be paying a month. It is just me and my husband, and I do all the laundry on cold water.

Best answer:

Answer by josephrob2003
gas is so expensive, could you change to kerosene? this is cheaper

Powered by Yahoo! /> How to install a carrier 50zh 036 301 self contained electric heatpump heating ac unit/where do 2 wires that come out of it go? currently have a old 80s model trane 5ton same thing heatpump unit, but it has 3 gray wires (two go to two separate breaker boxes outside) will need to replace it with the carrier one with 2 wires. can we unhook 3wired trane unit without getting electricuted? how/where when we get the 3wire trane unit off, do we hook up the 2 wire carrier one (all venting will remain the same and is existing)? Thanks and god bless.
all ductwork is already there, all we are trying to do is take out old heatpump and install the new one in same spot, the 3rd wire from existing unit looks like it goes inside the house possibly to the trane thermostat

Best answer:

Answer by Geeta Fookata
YOu could do a lot of calculations to find this. /> I’m burying relatively small gage (18 or 24 awg) 4 conductor cable 6-8″ down under irrigated turf grass. The cable will be servicing environmental sensors, which will be monitored for no more than 4 years. Do I need to use cable that is rated “direct burial”?

Best answer:

Answer by Steve W
The short answer is:
Only install cable according to its rating.

Don’t bother direct burying the ‘regular’ stuff. Its insulation is not intended to withstand the rigors of being wet and/or abraded.

The direct burial cable is constructed of insulation that can withstand water and a higher level of physical abuse.

However, you should still protect the cable from dig-ins. Even direct burial is not dig-in proof.

Check your local codes. Most municipalities have requirements along these lines.

Powered by Yahoo! Answers

Know better?
